What it is

Tobago Carnival is Tobago's own October Carnival, separate from the February Carnival in Port of Spain. The 2026 edition is the fifth, runs from Friday 30 October to Sunday 1 November, and carries the theme "The Awakening".12 Visit Tobago bills it as the final Carnival on the global calendar.2 It was launched on the beach at Pigeon Point Heritage Park in May 2026.3

The main weekend

All the street parades happen in Scarborough, the island's capital.4

  • Saturday 31 October, dawn: Dutty J'ouvert, with mud, paint and powder.
  • Saturday 31 October, afternoon: Steelpan and Powder Parade.
  • Saturday 31 October, from about 6pm: Night Mas, until past midnight.
  • Sunday 1 November: Parade of the Bands, with traditional and pretty mas.

Before the weekend, Pan Omega takes place on Saturday 24 October, and the season also includes the Calypso Monarch, Tobago Soca Titans and Monarchs of Mas.4 Promoters fill the rest of the week with fetes, many of them at Pigeon Point and in Crown Point, and the official events calendar lists them with prices.5
