What it is

Panorama is the national steelband competition, and the large band final is one of the great nights of Carnival. Orchestras roll their pan racks onto the stage and play a single arrangement of a calypso or soca song for the judges and a packed Savannah.

Pan Trinbago Inc's ticket listing on Island E-Tickets puts the Large Conventional Band Finals of National Panorama 2027 on Saturday 6 February 2027, starting at 7pm, in the Grand and North Stands of the Queen's Park Savannah. That matches Visit Trinbago's description of Panorama as the Saturday before Carnival. The listing gives 11:59pm as the end time. Ticket prices were not shown on the listing when this page was last checked. Republic Bank Exodus are the defending large band champions after winning in both 2025 and 2026.

What to expect

Before their turn, bands wait and warm up behind the stage, and walking among them is half the fun. The Grand Stand is the more listening-focused side; the North Stand is famous for its liming, flags and noise. The night runs late as each band takes its turn.

Tips

  • Visit panyards in the weeks before Carnival to hear bands rehearse their tunes. It is a highlight for many visitors.
  • Bring a light layer for the late night, and earplugs if you plan to stand close to the stage.
  • Buy tickets through the official Island E-Tickets listing linked on this page, and check Pan Trinbago's channels for the order of play.
