Who they are

Showtime is a Port of Spain band led by Godfrey Enile, with its mas camp at 51 French Street. The band says it has been on the road for more than 20 years and carries about 3,000 masqueraders each season.¹ Its big point of pride is local production: costumes are designed, bent, stitched and glued in Trinidad by local wire-benders, seamstresses and craftspeople rather than made overseas.¹

Carnival 2027: Take Off

The 2027 presentation is Take Off, with nine sections carrying names like Royal Eagle, Dragonfly and Pink Flamingo, plus a We Love Mondays section. The all-inclusive package lists a premium bar, security, snacks and a catered hot lunch, and air-conditioned mobile restrooms.²
